My Card Inventory

Frequently asked questions

Everything about tracking your sports card collection automatically.

What is My Card Inventory?

My Card Inventory is a web app that tracks your sports card collection automatically. It reads the purchase and sale emails in your inbox and builds a portfolio of the cards you buy across eBay, Fanatics Collect, CollX and other marketplaces — with cost basis, profit and loss, and a tax-ready export.

How does it track my cards automatically?

After you connect your email with read-only access, it finds order confirmations and receipts from card marketplaces, extracts each card and its price, and adds them to your inventory. You can also add cards manually. This means far less manual data entry than a spreadsheet.

Which marketplaces does it support?

It understands purchase and sale emails from eBay, Fanatics Collect, CollX, Whatnot, PWCC, Goldin, and COMC, among others. Because it reads your email, any marketplace that sends you a receipt can be cataloged.

Is it safe to connect my email?

Access is read-only, and each user's data is isolated. We store the minimum necessary — the structured purchase details, not your full email content — and we never share the content of your email with other users. You can disconnect an inbox at any time.

Does it cost anything?

You can start for free. Deeper history and advanced features are part of a paid plan, but the core of tracking your collection from your inbox is free to try.

Can I add cards manually?

Yes. Alongside automatic import you can add cards by hand, upload photos, edit any details, group cards with tags, and record notes and storage locations.

Does it help with taxes and the 1099-K?

Yes. Because it tracks cost basis and your realized sales, it can produce a tax-ready summary of your gains and losses for 1099-K season. It is not tax advice — check with a tax professional — but it gathers the numbers for you.

How is it different from a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet needs you to type in every card, price, and sale by hand. My Card Inventory pulls those directly from your receipts, keeps profit and loss up to date as you buy and sell, and adds tools like break-even and where-to-sell calculators.

Can it track what I sold and my profit?

Yes. It captures 'you sold' and payout emails, matches them to the cards you owned, and records the sale price, fees, and realized profit — so your holdings and P&L stay current automatically.
