How Email Parsing Works

One of several ways to add cards — from a forwarded receipt to an organized collection, in six steps. You can also add cards by hand or import a spreadsheet.

    Get your private forwarding address

    Sign up and we give you an address that belongs only to you, like cards-a7f3…@mycardinventory.com. We never ask for your password and never get access to your mailbox — the only emails we ever see are the ones you send us.

    Forward a receipt — or let Gmail do it for you

    Forward an order confirmation and that's it. If you'd rather not think about it, Gmail can auto-forward matching emails (say, anything from eBay) to your address — we show you the filter to set up, and you stay in control of it.

    The cards are read out of the email

    We extract the card, player, set, year, grade, serial, price, fees and date — and split shipping, fees and tax across the items so every card carries its true cost basis, not just its sticker price.

    You approve what comes in

    Parsed cards land in an import queue for you to accept or discard, so nothing enters your inventory without your say-so. Duplicates across re-sent emails are merged, and repeat copies of a card stack as quantity.

    Sales close themselves out

    Forward a "you sold it" email and we match it against the cards you own, record the sale price and fees, and move it to realized profit. Multi-card orders come in as one sale, not several.

    Price it, store it, track your profit

    See what to list a card for to break even or hit a profit target on each marketplace, track which bin or box every card physically lives in, and watch cost basis and profit stay current as you buy and sell.

Is my email safe?

We never ask for your email password and have no access to your mailbox. The only messages we can see are the ones you forward to us. We read each one to pull out the purchase details, never log full email bodies, store the minimum, and never sell your data.
