Grading
Black Label
A Black Label is a BGS 10 (Pristine) where all four subgrades are also a perfect 10. It is the hardest grade to earn and the most valuable BGS designation.
Beckett's Pristine 10 is already tough, but a Black Label requires that the overall 10 be backed by four perfect subgrades for centering, corners, edges, and surface. That means the card is flawless in every measured category.
Black Labels are rare even among perfect-looking cards, since all four areas must align.
Why it matters: because it is so hard to achieve, a Black Label carries a significant premium over a standard BGS 10 of the same card, and it is a badge of the highest possible condition.
