Prizm

Prizm is Panini's flagship chrome product and the name of its shiny parallels, the Panini equivalent of a Topps refractor. A base Prizm has a silver reflective finish.

Panini Prizm is one of the most popular products in the hobby, printed on a reflective chrome-style stock. The word also describes the parallels within it: the colored and patterned versions (silver, blue, red, gold, and so on) are called Prizms, just as Topps calls its shiny parallels refractors.

Many Prizm parallels are serial numbered, and the colors often tie to a theme, so the ladder from common to rare is easy to read once you learn it.

Why it matters: Prizm rookies are some of the most liquid modern cards, and the rarer colored Prizms of a star carry large premiums over the base.
