Rainbow
A rainbow is a complete set of every parallel of a single card, from the base version through each color up to the 1-of-1. Completing one is a popular long-term chase.
Because a card usually has a ladder of parallels in different colors, collecting one of each, from the common version through the rare colored ones and ideally the 1-of-1, forms a "rainbow" of that card.
Rainbows are most associated with refractor and Prizm products, where the color ladder is well defined.
Why it matters: a complete rainbow of a star rookie is a showcase accomplishment and can be worth more as a set than the sum of its parts, especially when it includes the rarest serial numbered pieces.
